David Wright is the best hitter in baseball and other 3 games in ephemera.

It is admittedly silly for a website largely devoted to stats to start listing stats after three games but screw it, the Mets are in first and things look good and I am feeling positive.

The first thing you should know is that David Wright is the best hitter in baseball right now with .667 BA, a full 67 points ahead of number two, Evan Longoria. He also has one homerun, has yet to strikeout is sporting an OPS of 1.692.

Niese is tied for 4th most strikeouts in baseball with 7. He has the same number of K's as Verlander, Sabathia and Lincecum.

Johan Santana is tied for first in lowest ERA with 0. I will concede he is tied with like 20 other guys.

Frank Frank leads MLB in saves with 3.

The Mets are one of only 4 undefeated teams along with the Rays, D-Backs and Tigers, all playoff teams in 2011.
