Fangraphs had a good analysis of the Mets new closers which you can read here.
I agree on some level with this analysis. At the end of the day, this a short term solution to a problem that can't be solved. These two might make the Mets a little better next year but at best might mean 3-5 wins to a team that will likely win around 70 games. What's the point? Why waste money on guys who can't contribute in the long run when the long run is what the Mets are focused on right now?
